আজ থেকেই ভারত-বাংলাদেশ সম্পর্কে নতুন মোড়

বাংলাদেশে চলতে শুরু করেছে গণতন্ত্রের রেলগাড়ি। চালকের আসনে তারেক রহমান। ২০০১ থেকে ২০০৬ সাল পর্যন্ত সরকারে ছিল জাতীয়তাবাদী দল বিএনপি। ২০ বছর পর ত্রয়োদশ জাতীয় সংসদ নির্বাচনে জয় পেয়ে সরকার গঠন করেছে তারা। মন্ত্রিসভায় আছেন ৫০ জন। এদের মধ্যে ২৫ জন মন্ত্রী। ২৪ জন প্রতিমন্ত্রী। আর টেকনোক্র্যাট তিনজন। ২৫ জন মন্ত্রীর মধ্যে ১৭ জনই নতুন মুখ। আবার প্রতিমন্ত্রী ২৪ জনের প্রত্যেকেই নতুন। এমনকী প্রধানমন্ত্রী পদে তারেক রহমান নিজেও প্রথম মন্ত্রিসভার সদস্য হচ্ছেন। বাংলাদেশে পালাবদলের পর দিল্লির সঙ্গে ঢাকার সম্পর্ক কেমন হবে। প্রশ্নটা শুধু দিল্লির সাউথব্লকেই ঘোরাঘুরি করছে না, ঘোরাঘুরি করছে বারিধারাতেও। হাসিনার আমলে সম্পর্ক যেমন ছিল, তারেক জমানায় সম্পর্ক ঠিক তেমন থাকবে? না কি সেই সম্পর্ককে ছাপিয়ে যাবে ? না কি সম্পর্ক কূটনৈতিক যেমন থাকে, যাকে বলা হয় ভারসাম্যের সম্পর্ক, তেমন হবে? সাউথব্লক কিন্তু এখনই কিছু বলতে চাইছে না। তারা আপাতত ঢাকার পদক্ষেপের দিকে লক্ষ্য রাখতে চাইছে। তারেক রহমান মিট দ্য প্রেস অনুষ্ঠানে কিছু কথা বলেছিলেন।

ভারতের দ্য পায়োনিয়ার পত্রিকার এক সাংবাদিক তারেক রহমানেক প্রশ্ন করেন – I have a question to PM in waiting.  What is your foreign policy plan and how you see India and Bangladesh relations? We are the not immediate neighbour  But… yeah…., we share culture and everything.  So your comment on India and Bangladesh relation and Second one, which is very much related to ICT. Do you going to review and scrutiny the verdict and the decision has made by the ICT? Thank you so much. ”

জবাবে তারেক বলেন, “ Thank you so much. I think we have clear ourselves regarding the foreign policy, which is… the interest of Bangladesh and interest of Bangladeshi people comes first, by protecting the interest of Bangladesh and people of Bangladesh will decide our foreign policy. Thank you”

এদিকে গত শুক্রবার এএফপির এক সাংবাদিক সালাহউদ্দিন আহমেদকে প্রশ্ন করেন – Are you satisfied with the political process? Because one of the major party was out of contest? How satisfied are you with the political process? জবাবে সালাহউদ্দিন আহমেদ বলেন, “Of course. The people of the country… they knows this is very much inclusive election. And.. if you…  like to mention the explosion of Awami league etc … the people have rejected through the mass uprise in last August 2024 for. And they have been prosecuted. And also the investigation is going on as against the political party… Awami league. This is on… under process. I hope the prosecution will file the allegations against Awami league as party. ”

আর হাসিনার প্রত্যাবর্তন প্রসঙ্গে তাঁকে প্রশ্ন করা হলে সালাহউদ্দিন আহমেদ বলেন, “We always press for her extradition according to law. This is in between foreign ministry of Bangladesh and foreign ministry of India. We also urge the Govt of India to… please send her back for facing the trial in our country ”

সালাহউদ্দিন আহমেদ বলতে চেয়েছেন, শুধু ভারতের সঙ্গে নয়, প্রতিবেশী সব দেশের সঙ্গে সম্পর্ক হবে বন্ধুত্বপূর্ণ, ন্যায্যতা আর সমান অধিকারের ভিত্তিতে। সার্বভৌমত্ব, সমমর্যাদা এবং পারস্পরিক শ্রদ্ধার ভিত্তিতে সম্পর্ক বজায় রাখা হবে বলে তিনি উল্লেখ করেন।

সাবেক প্রধামন্ত্রী হাসিনার সম্ভাব্য বিচার সংক্রান্ত এক প্রশ্নের জবাবে প্রবীণ এই বিএনপি সদস্য বলেন, যেহেতু তার বিরুদ্ধে তদন্ত চলছে এবং আওয়ামী লীগের বিরুদ্ধে তদন্ত চলছে এবং আওয়ামী লীগের বিরুদ্ধে সুনির্দিষ্ট দুর্নীতির অভিযোগ রয়েছে, তাই, ভারত সরকারের সঙ্গে বিদ্যমান প্রত্যর্পণ চুক্তির ভিত্তিতে তাঁকে দেশে ফিরিয়ে এনে বিচারের মুখোমুখি করার প্রক্রিয়া শুরু করা হবে। এটি আমাদের পররাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রকের আইনি প্রক্রিয়ার মধ্য দিয়েই সম্পন্ন হবে।”
